The CNT organized solidarity actions in Madrid for the dismissed and outsourced workers of the Xunta de Galicia (Council of the Autonomous Community). On March 14, the Union of Telecommunications and IT Workers held a picket outside a convention center where IT businesses were holding a conference entitled "Social Responsibility as a Creator of Value". At the conference was TRAGSA group, whose firm Tragsatec is one of the subcontracting firms for Xunta de Galicia. IT workers were dismissed from their regular jobs so that this work could be subcontracted to Tragsatec.
The Metal Workers Union also organized a protest in Madrid. On March 22, they protested in front of the local seat of the Xunta de Galicia. They protested against the dismissals and outsourcing of jobs to Tecnocom and Tragsatec and demanded that the workers get their jobs back.
A solidarity action also took place in La Coruña. The protest in front of the office of NovaCaixaGalicia took place on March 24 when the multinational Tecnocom was holding a commerical event there. The comrades protested the anti-worker practices of this firm.
Last month a solidarity action also took place in Ferrol.
