There have already been six protests in Cáceres and four in Badajoz. Between 20:30 and 22:00 it becomes practically impossible to eat in peace in PIZZA HUT because of the strength of the labor protest. The conflict has begun to appear in the media, since Canal Extremadura Radio has interviewed workers repressed the company. And soon it is expected that the protest will be shown on the regional television.
In the meanwhile, shareholders of INVERSIÓN Y RESTAURACIÓN EXTREMADURA S.A, which manages the PIZZA HUT franchises in Extremadura, continue to violate the workers' rights with their lies and their cons. After signing that they recognize the union in the company, they now try to impede the exercise of union rights recognized by the Organic Law on Trade Union Freedom. It argues that CNT does not participate in union elections; they still do not know who they are facing!
To resolve this conflict they must reinstate the 3 workers they dismissed and stop the harassment and union busting! When they understand this, the waters will return to normal. In addition to the industrial action, judicial proceedings against the infringement of rights in PIZZA HUT are under way.
From the union of the CNT in PIZZA HUT, we call for the solidarity of all people of Extremadura and a boycott of these unscrupulous employers. Don't patronize this establishment until it respects the legitimate rights of its employees.
