Action at OTTO Headquarters in Poland

On March 2, the director of OTTO Workforce came to the firm's headquarters in Poland to meet with cheated workers and discuss the claims. The Wroclaw ZSP held a picket during the talks and went into the building, occupying the lobby until the meeting was finished.


The director denied that there were any serious problems with the system - the imposition of numerous fines, lack of grievance process, bad housing, etc. - and tried to convince the workers that there is "no need" to make pickets and that employees can always bring up their problems with management. Of course if they do, they are usually told there is no problem.

In this situation the director conceded that the workers should not have a fine (500 euros each) and said he would make a decision about the other demands today.
