Small Success in Labour Dispute

Members of the FAU and ASJ (Anarchosyndicalist Youth) in Leipzig, who work for the same company, did successfully struggle in a labour dispute.

They visited the labour council of their company named CCC (Competence Call Center Leipzig) and talked about illegitimate articles in their labour contract. It was mainly about paid holidays and sick pay. CCC used to calculate 6 hours per day, a 30 hour week and 6€ per hour but in fact they worked 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week. Additionally there is a bonus of 50 Cent per hour.

The law says: the average payment of the last 13 weeks is the basis of calculation for holidays and sick pay. CCC cheated the workers out of money.

It was a small success for the FAU members to defend their rights. And this is only the beginning. FAU and ASJ Leipzig will continue their struggle for labour rights.
