Protest at Vodafone, Barcelona

Since Internity fired the CNT delegate in the firm last February, the union has protested several times at the Vodafone headquarters in Barcelona to remind the company that transfers its products and its image to Internity-Avenir Telecom, that it is directly responsible for the treatment of its employees by Internity.
It is a shame that in the XXI century, Internity, a company that has more than 700 employees (mostly women), denies something as basic as trade union rights and fires and represses trade union members. If this company and its director general thinks it will be able to silence the union and its employees in this way, it does not know what the CNT is. Vodafone is also wrong if it thinks it will be able to calmly take a position of non-intervention in the open conflict between the union and Internity.

Saturday's protest proves it. A group of activists protested for several hours, holding a banner and explaining to customers, employees and passersby the abuses that Internity workers suffer on a daily basis, with an emphasis on the repressive policies towards trade unions adopted by Internity which ended with the dismissal of our union delegate just seven days after notifying the company of the creation of the union.
The union will continue the mobilizations against Internity and, by extension, Vodafone, to ensure that our comrade recovers her work and that the rights of all employees are recognized.
